Oracle Fusion daily exchange rate automation needs an approved rate source and a verified currency direction. A technically successful import can still load inappropriate values if the source rate basis differs from the conversion policy used by finance.
Swiss BAZG publishes exchange rates and machine-readable access. Confirm that this source is suitable for the intended accounting or customs process. Decide the rate date and Oracle conversion type with the finance owner. Do not assume a customs rate is the required rate for every financial transaction.
Review the quoted currency unit before comparing a source value with Oracle. A feed can quote a value per one hundred units rather than one. Fusion Toolkit normalizes the BAZG unit when building its import data. Validate a sample currency manually against the approved source before enabling a recurring import.
A test command is fusion-toolkit --profile rates-test import-daily-rates --date 2026/11/06 --from-currency EUR --from-currency USD --to-currency CHF --conversion-type Corporate. It submits an import and changes Oracle state. Use a non-production profile with permission to load the selected rate type. The date format is yyyy/MM/dd, and the source-currency option can be repeated.
Keep CHF as the target unless the rate basis has been independently converted and validated for another target. Changing the target-currency label does not recalculate the source into a different cross rate. The command has no preview mode, so confirm the values and intended environment before running it.
Capture the returned request ID and inspect the resulting process. Oracle's daily-rate import documentation explains the interface load and the application import. A submission receipt does not establish that every currency was accepted.
Verify the loaded currency pair, conversion date and conversion type in Oracle's Currency Rates Manager. Compare the value with the normalized source and inspect any import errors. If the response was lost after submission, find the existing request and read the current rate before submitting again.
For a schedule, define the expected feed availability and the handling of missing dates. Preserve the source date with the result. A task running today must not silently relabel an older rate as today's rate. Use the ESS monitoring guidance for request tracking and uncertain outcomes.
This guidance was reviewed on 8 November 2026. Agree one currency pair and conversion type with finance, then verify a complete test import before scheduling the approved combination.
